Tourist Attractions

MATIN-AO & NASULI SPRINGS - Natural tourist spots are crystal clear fresh waters from springs like Matin- ao and Nasuli which are located at Barangay Bangcud south of the City. These are perfect sites for picnic and family outings. There are also man-made attractions like forest of fast growing trees established by the Bukidnon Forest Incorporated. Right near the main office, they have their mini zoo and dry picnic site called “Woodstock”

THE “TULUGAN” OF OUR INDIGENOUS PEOPLE - at the back of the Provincial Capitol, an area adjacent to the Malaybalay Reforestation Project is developed as Pines View Park which includes a training center “Tulugan” and structures in ethnic designs which serves as sleeping quarters,

MOUNT KITANGLAD - Nature lovers, like hikers, mountain climbers enjoy scaling the heights of Mt. Kitanglad, known as the second highest mountain in the country. Birdwatching is also one of the city’s tourist attractions at Barangay Dalwangan. A bird sanctuary was identified by the authorities to protect the endangered species,the monkey- eating eagles from poachers as wellas the rich bio-diversity of the forest,their habitat.

MONASTERY OF TRANSFIGURATION - located at barangay San Jose of the City. This is the place where the Benedictine Monks spend their entire life in prayer. Its chapel was designed by the late Architect Leandro Locsin. They also produces hand-processed Monk’s Blend Coffee, peanuts and candles w/ coffee scent.

MONASTERY OF CARMELITE NUNS - located at Pal-ing, Kalasungay of the City. This is the place where the Carmelite Nuns spend their entire life in prayer.

PINES VIEW PARK - located at the back of the Capitol, the area is best used for camping and rodeo activities. It has a natural setting which abounds with pine trees.

BUKIDNON FOREST WC.-located at Sumpong, an industrial tree plantation project with remaining plantable area of 21,000 hectares of denuded forest.

BIRD WATCH TOWER - located at Barangay Dalwangan in the City. A site for bird lovers to catch a glimpse of beautiful bird species found in the city.

MT. CAPISTRANO - located at Barangay Managok in the city. It has a unique and attractive rock formations and challenging caves.

RAINFOREST SPRING RESORT - situated at Barangay Bangcud this City
