It is with great pleasure that we announce the choice of Clark as venue of the prestigious Philippine M.I.C.E. Conference in 2014. The event will be slated on June 4-7, 2014 in Clark.
The opportunity came at a time when the meetings and events business in the Metro Clark area have seen significant growth and regarded as an important revenue component for most hotels and tourism-related establishments. To grow the business by generating significant industry exposure, Clark will host MICECON in 2014. It will serve as a platform to boost our capacity to host high profile conferences and mega events, reinforce its image as a place to do business and create business opportunities for locators.
An upscale market of foreign and local travel agencies, event organizers and international travel media outlets numbering around 500 to 1,000 participants are expected to attend the event. Highlights of the event include business-to-business sessions, conference program on industry trends and developments and sightseeing tours, among others.
As a prelude, Clark will participate at the 2013 Davao MICECON to grace the turn-over ceremonies and campaign for 2014. As the next host, Clark will mount an exhibit (9m x 6m space) in SMX Convention Center, Lanang, Davao City and host a farewell dinner to the delegates.
It is in this spirit that we enjoin the support and participation of all our tourism stakeholders in the said project.
Specifically, we invite you to join us in Davao by registering as a Conference Delegate. B2B sessions are slated on March 9, 2013 which will have 40 foreign buyers (as of Jan 30: China, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Russia, Germany, Vietnam and Australia) and 10 local buyers. Travel and tour operators, PCO’s and hotels are highly encouraged to also register as Seller. Slots are limited and only 15 seller slots remain as organizers want to keep a good ratio between buyers and sellers.
