CLARK CONEX 2012 International ICT Conference and Expo
The Metro Clark ICT Council (MCICTC) in partnership with Clark Development Corporation (CDC), the Business Processing Association of the Philippines (BPAP) and the Department of Science & Technology ICT Office (DOST-ICTO) is set to hold Clark’s prime gathering of ICT-BPO stakeholders from Industry, Academe and Government.
CLARK CONEX 2012 International ICT Conference and Expo, which had its debut in 2011 is again expected to draw in hundreds of local and international delegates to participate in this once-a-year gathering of experts, investors, educators, students and practitioners.
CLARK CONEX was institutionalized to be the regional/provincial counterpart of the International Outsourcing Summit (IOS), organized by BPAP, to be held on October 7-9, 2012 at the Makati Shangri-La, Philippines.
CLARK CONEX 2012 as the IOS’ extension conference will be on October 10-11, 2012 to be held at the Holiday Inn Resort, Clark Freeport Zone, Pampanga, Philippines.
The 2-day affair will be highlighted by a ICT-BPO Business Networking Conference and Exhibit (Day 1) and the Career and Talent Caravan (Day 2).
Major highlights also include Site Tours to major investment sites in Clark and a rolling tour of the Clark Freeport Main zone. Also to be offered are Career seminars and an ICT Jobs Fair as well as a E-Competitions among participating IT schools in and around the region.

CLARK CONEX 2011 HIGHLIGHTS
DOST-MCICTC-NICP-BPAP Convergence. Executives from the country’s major ICT industry groups gather at the ConEx 2011 Main Plenary where various issues and challenges were discussed on the future of ICT-BPO in the country. Issues such as the transition from voice to non-voice, the value of supporting start-ups, IT literacy for competitiveness and the employment potentials in ICT were just a few of the issues tackled in 2011.
NOT JUST FOR GROWN-UPS. Clark ConEx 2011 drew more than a thousand IT students from the various Universities and TVIs in the region. Led by the Philippine Society of IT Educators Region III (PSITE-3), students and educators alike converged to discuss careers, trends and technologies and showed off their IT prowess in various E-competitions which highlight not only technical know-how, but creativity as well.
Over 50 exhibitors showed their wares to the ICT stakeholder community, as a showcase of Metro Clark’s readiness to host global ICT brands as well as compete in the international outsourcing chain. Metro Clark is home to investments in Semiconductors, Light manufacturing, Aviation and Logistics, Tourism and of course, ICT-BPO.
