Gulf Beaches

White and Black sand beaches are present around the region and numerous beach resorts is one of the many famous destinations & attractions that it has.

Coral Gardens

A "must-see" for divers id the 150 hectares Coral Garden and Marine Reservation Park at Linusotan and Dadatan at nearby Talikud Island.

Bio-Diversity

Cateceans: Sperm Whale, Dwarf Sperm Whale, Pygmy Sperm Whale, Long-Snouted Pinner Dolphin, Indo-Pacific Bottlenose Dolphin, Longman's Beaked Whale, Risso's Dolphin, Killer Whale, Short-Finned Pilot Whale, Cuvier's Beaked Whale, Fraser's Dolphin.
Fish: Whale Shark, Sunfish, Pygmy Seahorse
Sea Turtles: Green Sea Turtle, Hawksbill, Leatherback, Olive Ridley, Loggerhead
Mammals: Dugong

HIGHLAND

Mountain Ranges

Davao Region is predominantly mountainous and marked with valleys and hills. It is famous for its highest peak - the Mt. Apo, which is also the highest mountain in the Philippines. It is also the home of the most prized Philippines orchid species like the vanda sanderiana, some of the most exotic fruits, the endangered Philippine Eagle. The Bonsai Forest in Mt. Hamiguitan, Davao Oriental is also an enchanting mountain that dwells in the region.

Caves

Spectacular caves awaits anyone who wishes to view fascinating stone formations wonderfully carved by nature, on more than hundreds of caves in Davao Region. Particularly in Davao Del Norte, many of the world-class caves can be found which can truly put spelunkers in a trance.

Falls & Rivers

The region is dotted with beautiful waterfalls such as Aliwagwag Falls, the country’s highest, easily a 338 m. plunge through a series of 84 step-like mini falls

Philippine Eagle

A site for everyone to behold, as the rare and endangered, majestic Philippine Eagle (Pithecophaga Jeffreyi) spreads its wings as you tour the Philippine Eagle Research and Nature center in the Malagos Protected Landscape in Calinan, 45 minutes away from the city center of Davao City.

Waling-Waling

Be dazzled with Davao's pride, the Waling-Waling (Vanda Sanderiana), as you visit vast orchid farms, where the Waling-Waling and other hybrids like Vanda Staps, Vanda Sanderiana, Mokara, Phalenopsis and other collectors items are propagated. From August to September, the slopes of these farms are carpeted in exotic, fragile blooms.

Crocodile Parks

While tourists still flock to the new Crocodile Park to view the popular Pangil, said to be the biggest captive crocodile in MIndanao by far, the place is now teemed with interesting new characters, apart from more crocodile breeders in their new larger cages. There are the regular two huge, friendly pythons you can touch and, together with your friends, carry on your shoulders if you're brave enough. A variety of exotic birds are on display, from parrots, hornbills, ostriches to eagles. Two new baby albino snakes are now showcased in their attractive, glowing yellow skin. Other popular exotic animals in their new shelters are the bearcats, iguanas, two playful orangutans, and big lizards. The park also hosts recreational and ecotourism sites such as a Koi Pond and other fish nurseries, flower orchard, hatcheries, new raptor cages, huts and restaurants, perfect for a family's one day outing.

Malagos Garde Resort & Eden Nature Park

At the Malagos Garden Resort, marvels at swarms of colorful butterflies as they flit from flower to flower and the different species of birds at the birdwalk of Eden Nature Park & Resort before proceeding to exotic Crocodile Farm.
