Battle of Surigao Strait (October 25)
Lipata, Surigao City
The greatest naval battle in the Philippine history between the Allied Forces and the Japanese Imperial Army was stayed in Surigao Strait during World War II. The commemoration where the American Troops landed on that significant day in 1944.

Paskuhan (December 1-24)
Luneta Park, Surigao City
Series of activities which include: Light-up a tree, Lanterns/Christmas tree making contest, Lantern parade display of all winning entries of lanterns and Christmas trees and Rondalla
Contest. “Painit sa Pasko” is also held during the Misa de Gallo on the 16th to 24th of December. Mass goers converge at the park to buy and eat Surigaonon delicacies (i.e. sayong-song, suman, bibingka, chocolate, etc.)
