With land travel now facilitated because of the good road linkage throughout the region, Dapitan is easily traversed by Zamboanga City residents who want to escape fromit all and frolic on the white sands of Dakak Park and Beach Resort.
Top tourism honcho and marketing whiz, Nonong Jalosjos while not yet back as a public official, will definitely push Dapitan and Dakak Park and Beach Resort to further heights of reknown in the in the tourism map. Mark my word, take note of the fast developments in his expanding kingdome.
What he has done to Dakak Park and Beach Resort is not a miracle. Everything comes in natural to the guy when it comes to tourism development. We were only taking about his grandiose plans for the resort before, and now the museum, golf course, casino, Aliguay and Selinog, Gloria de Dapitan and I see Fantasyland added to their brochures, are realities! There is no end to the fulfilment of his dreams.
I remember how the Department once was ready to adopt his marketing strategy for the entire country. When I come to think of it, the idea would have surely clicked had it not been overtaken by the world financial crisis.
And today, most likely because of his never-ending quest for tourism excellence, the 1st Mindanao Tourism, Culture and Arts Congress unfolds in Dakak Park and Beach Resort, Dapitan City. For all intents and purpose, the Department of Tourism Satellite Office in Rizal’s old city of exile, is the Department of Tourism Regional Office. Good for Zamboanga del Norte, good for Zamboanga City?
